Including Your Pets in Family Photoshoots | Melbourne Family Photographer

Family photoshoots are a way to capture precious moments, marking milestones and celebrating your family.

If you have pets, they are often the first addition to your home after becoming a couple, so it only seems natural to include them in your family photoshoot.

Here’s some tips on how to include your furry friends.

1. Choose a Pet-Friendly Location

When selecting a location for your family photoshoot, consider a place where your pet feels comfortable and safe. This could be your home, a local park, or any familiar outdoor space where you and your pet enjoys spending time.

2. Plan for Safety and Comfort

Safety should always be a priority when including pets in your photoshoot. If the shoot is outdoors, make sure the area is safe for your pet to roam or sit. Bring a leash, harness, and any other necessary safety gear to keep them secure. Additionally, pack some water, treats, and a favorite toy to keep them relaxed and engaged.

3. Involve Your Photographer

Make sure your photographer knows you want to include your pet in your photoshoot. Then we can plan to spend some time getting some gorgeous images with you all.

7. Use Props

Incorporate props that your pet is familiar with or enjoys. A favorite blanket, toy, or even a stylish bandana can add a personal touch to the photos.

8. Capture Their Personality

Each pet has a unique personality, and your photos should reflect that. Whether your pet is playful, laid-back, or a little mischievous, work with your photographer to capture their true essence. These candid moments will make your photos even more special and memorable.

Including your pets in your family photoshoot is a wonderful way to celebrate their place in your life.
